What we collect, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

The short version

We hold two kinds of information: about the businesses who use Isle Order, and about the customers who order from them. We do not sell either. We do not advertise. We do not track people around the internet.

About a business using Isle Order

When you apply we collect your name, business name, email, phone, country, what you sell and where you sell it now. If we approve you, that becomes your account.

While you use Isle Order we store what you put in it: your products and photos, your prices, opening hours, contact details, and the settings for your storefront.

We record when someone on your team last signed in, and we keep a log of significant actions taken by our own staff on your account — so we can answer "who changed that?" honestly.

About a customer ordering from a business

When somebody places an order we collect their name, phone number, and email address if they give one. For a delivery we also collect the address it is going to. We store what they ordered, what it cost, and when.

This information belongs to the business they ordered from. We hold it on that business’s behalf so their shop works — so their order emails send, their receipts open, and their customer list is there when they need it. We do not use it for anything else.

Isle Order shows each business a customer list built from their own orders. A business can only ever see their own customers. Nothing is shared or pooled between businesses.

What we do not collect

No payment card details, ever. Isle Order does not process payments and has no card data to lose.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We count storefront visits and app installs as plain numbers — how many, on what day — with nothing identifying the visitor and no profile built.

Who else touches the data

Running Isle Order means using specialist suppliers: a hosting provider for the application, a managed database, encrypted object storage for uploaded images and nightly backups, and a delivery service for email. Each is an established provider, bound by a contract, and used only to run the service.

Where a business uses the AI writing features, the text of the product being described is sent to an AI provider to generate a suggestion. No customer information is ever included, and the text is not used to train anybody’s model.

None of these suppliers is permitted to use your data for their own purposes, to sell it, or to pass it on. We do not sell your data to anybody, ever.

The database and backups are held outside Barbados, in the United States, because that is where this infrastructure lives.

If you want the suppliers by name, ask us at hello@isleorder.app and we will tell you. We publish them by category rather than by name for commercial reasons, not to keep anything from you.

How long it is kept

Orders and customer records stay for as long as the business has an account, because that is their trading history.

A full database backup is taken every night and kept in encrypted storage. The database itself can be restored to any point in the last seven days.

Close your account and we delete your data, keeping only what we are required to. Deleted data disappears from backups as those backups age out.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

If you are a customer who ordered from a business on Isle Order, ask them first — it is their record and they can act on it directly. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will help.

Everything above starts with an email to hello@isleorder.app.

When something goes wrong

If data is exposed or lost in a way that could affect you, we will tell you what happened, what we know, and what we are doing about it — promptly, and without waiting until we have a tidy story.
